Plant Care Scanner Pro ("the App," "we," "us") helps you identify plants from photos and access plant care information. This policy explains the information the App processes and your choices.

1. Information we process

• Photos you select: When you request plant identification or refinement, the App sends a compressed version of your chosen photo to its backend for analysis. Camera and photo-library access are used when you choose to provide an image.
• Plant scans and history: The App may store identification results, plant history, refinements and related collection information on its backend so you can revisit them.
• Installation identifier: The App uses an app-specific installation identifier to associate scan history, profile data, usage limits and entitlements with your installation.
• Profile information: If you choose to set a display name, it is sent to the backend.
• Purchases: The App may send Apple transaction identifiers to its backend to verify or redeem purchase entitlements. Payment processing is handled by Apple.
• Language and region: The App sends device locale and language preferences with identification requests to help provide relevant responses.

2. How we use information

We use this information to identify plants, provide care guidance, return previous results, manage scan limits and purchases, maintain app functionality and respond to support requests.

3. Service providers and sharing

Identification requests are processed through our backend hosted using Cloudflare services. Photo content and related request information may be processed by external AI or plant-identification providers configured on the backend. Apple processes in-app purchases under its own privacy terms. We do not describe data as sold or used for advertising without verifying the complete production configuration.

4. Storage and retention

Some scan history and related account-like data are stored on the backend and linked to the installation identifier. The App also uses local device storage for certain cached content. Retention periods and backup deletion practices depend on the production backend configuration and should be confirmed before publication.

5. Your choices and deletion

You can choose whether to provide a photo. The App includes controls to delete individual history items and clear plant history associated with the installation. Clearing history is intended to remove server-backed plant history, refinement history and achievements for that installation, along with applicable local cached scan photos. For other data access or deletion questions, contact support.

6. Security

We use HTTPS to communicate with the backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The App is not specifically designed for children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us to request assistance.

8. International processing

Depending on where you live and the service providers used, data may be processed in countries other than your own.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
